Been trying to do a hard drive install, and I kept having problems with random freezing during the x setup.  The last time I tried re-installing to hard drive I got errors when I chose Lilo for my bootloader (I had tried grub before this attempt).  Now when the computer boots all I have is a screen full of 9A 9A 9A 9A 9A (etc).

How can I fix this bootloader problem so I can at least get back into windows before trying to get DSL to install to my HD without freezing during the setup?

There is a wiki entry discussing < this. >

Unfortunately, the link on that wiki entry no longer works, it leads to a site that has absolutely nothing to do with GRUB, and has no files on it.

You may use cfdisk for HDD re-partitioning first, then format each patition of your HDD.
If you want to use Window$ and DSL, you should use GRUB Frugal Install.
