I have freebsd on my old p1 233. I want to format the drive so that I can use DSL and not have freebsd taking up my hd space. I don't have a floppy, only cd. Is there a way i can format the drive and repartition from the DSL iso?

Boot the dsl live and open terminal and type sudo cfdisk and make the changes you want and MAYBE you need to reboot maybe not, after that install it to the partition you like, it will format it for you, but if you want to format it by your self then use next command mke2fs /dev/hdax where x is the partition you would like to format, it will format it and then its formatted.
