Localized system: Can Frugal makes it ?Forum: HD Install Topic: Localized system: Can Frugal makes it ? started by: kozaki Posted by kozaki on April 22 2006,08:54
Well what I understand is that frugal install's basically running dsl iso from HDD + swap & persistent user configuration, making use of the CD unnecessary. Is that right ?But if so, how can one install new apps & actually localize them ? I'm thinking of DSL beeing the very best choice for a guy that has an old P2 with 64MB (upgradable to 128) RAM, but guys, he doesn't read English ! How would you cope with that ? Should I go for HDD install then localization ? Posted by kozaki on April 27 2006,23:14
Allright, I went for Arch Linux & xfce4 on that PII now with 128MB RAM, and everything went fine --and in the language my user wants:;):
