Installing lilo to mbr using live-cdForum: HD Install Topic: Installing lilo to mbr using live-cd started by: lotas Posted by lotas on May 18 2006,21:02
HiI have w98 already in hda1, an empty linux partitition hda2 and a swap space. Is it possible to install lilo when booting with the live-cd? I mean, does dsl allow etc/lilo.conf to be edited when using the live-cd feature? Then, provided i have a valid lilo.conf file, i just have to execute lilo as root to install it, is that right? thanks Posted by piccolo on May 19 2006,10:55
Yes.But the hd-install script generate the /etc/lilo.conf file and install Lilo to MBR automatically. The DSL hard disk installation can be Full or Frugal. I recommend you the Frugal Install. Here documentation:< Frugal Howto > |
