Hello everyone,
i'm new here  :)
I've found DSL few hours ago and it looks nice for me, so i decided to leave my slow windows and change to dsl.
and then the problem appears :/
i cannot install dsl on my hdd ( i prepare partitions [ext3+swap] as i did before when installing other linux distributions but now dsl cannot see these partitions; and when i try to use cfdisk when writing it hangs)
the hdd is seagate 20gb and the hd controller is sis 620.
i found on the forum that i should use 'dsl dma' but it doesnt work :/
please help me :)

i'm sorry for my english but i'm not a native :)

There are two hard disk install methods: Full and Frugal.
Frugal is the recommended method: < Frugal Howto >

Use the boot option: dsl 2
This boot DSL in console mode (without desktop) fixing generally that problem.
