HDinstall on 486 NotebookForum: HD Install Topic: HDinstall on 486 Notebook started by: ossobussi Posted by ossobussi on July 20 2006,23:48
Hi all,I hope I can express myself in the right english words because I am from Germany. My Problem is to install DSL on a HD (200MB) of an old 486 Notebook. This Notebook has only a Floppy - no USB, no CD - and a serial port. What do I have to do to install DSL as the only OS. How to format the HD, how to get the files on the HD, which files all, how to create the Master Boot Record, which files do I need to start DSL at least with the floppy. I know very much about Windows, but not so much about Linux, so I hope someone could give me hints to solve those problems. Posted by ^thehatsrule^ on July 21 2006,01:50
