On my old computer there is two partitions, C: and D:.C: is my DOS and WINDOWS 3.1 partition (300MB). Partition D: is 1700MB and empty. I want to use D: as my Linux DSL partition. How do I install it on D:? And one more question, i have tried to boot the system with command failsafe, but my mouse doesen't work, it is a old PS/2 (Three buttons) mouse. Run # cfdisk and see which one it is, then make a Linux partition there - you might want to create a swap as well.I'm guessing it will probably be hda2, but you should check. Posted by sankarv on Aug. 02 2006,09:19
Is D: primary or extended partition. If its extended then it might be hda5
