I'm not having any troubles, I have dsl running just the way I want it now and running great. I just have a question about an error during boot. The error is:

kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno = 2

There's also an error about the bios, but the screen scolls so fast that I can't read it all. But it's probably because the bios is so old (ibm thinkpad 380xd, bios date 1999).

I guess you could boot with noscsi option to have that ignored.

You could check your logs ( see dmesg or in /var/log/.. )
