Frugal install script not foundForum: HD Install Topic: Frugal install script not found started by: mwdowns Posted by mwdowns on Sep. 07 2006,10:28
Hello folks. Just downloaded and burned the 3.0.1 version of DSL. Went an cfdisk-ed my laptop's hard drive, setting up 3 partitions: 500MB for frugal, 5Gig for /home and /opt, and 400MB+ for swap. I've been following the frugal install PDF file, and things were going OK. However, when I get to the point where I have to type "/usr/sbin/furgal_instal.sh" I'm getting a "no such file or directoy" error. Am I doing something wrong? Am I using the wrong guide? Thanks for your help. Posted by u2musicmike on Sep. 07 2006,13:20
Do a directory list in /usr/sbinls -a /usr/sbin I am not on my machine but I think they left out an L Posted by ^thehatsrule^ on Sep. 07 2006,15:54
Not too sure if you typed it in correctly... (or if it was just in the forums)
should be
Afaik its included in $PATH so you won't need to specify the exact dir. And yea, I think it was missing an "l"... And that guide should be fine to use. Posted by mwdowns on Sep. 08 2006,06:46
Did the ls -a /usr/sbin and found out that the guide was indeed missing an "l" in its command.I'm an idiot for not guessing that in the first place! I feel a bit sheepish. Thanks for the help. Posted by ^thehatsrule^ on Sep. 08 2006,13:00
I think (originally) the file _was_ missing an "l".. and the pdf docs were not updated since.
