Grub boot option and cd boot problemForum: HD Install Topic: Grub boot option and cd boot problem started by: mikeblob Posted by mikeblob on Sep. 30 2006,13:24
have an old pc with damn and win2000. im using grub boot at start, to choose between linux or win2000. seems it starts too quick, so theres no way to choose cdrom as boot. is there a simple way of putting the cdrom in the same list as linux\win in the grub? Posted by mikshaw on Sep. 30 2006,13:58
cdrom booting is enabled in bios, and has nothing to do with grub. You'll need to know what key(s) to press for your particular board in order to access setup, and press before grub starts. The key could be Del, F1, F8, Esc, or just about anything else the manufacturer has decided on. Posted by mikeblob on Sep. 30 2006,14:04
seems everything has been reset to cmos default during the night.Should have checked the bios first, oh well |
