I havent tested 3.1RC1, but in <= 3.0, Ndiswrapper didnt work on hd-install. I have a dell 1350 wireless card.

I never had a problem with it on a HD install.  Nor on Frugal or LiveCD.

And I've used 3.0, 3.01, 3.1RC and DSL-N 0.4RC.  No problems on any of them.

Hi, i am a newbie and tried ndiswrapper on an old panasonic with ricoh pcmcia, and have gotten an Wlan acer realtek 8180 11b to make red blinkings (kinda search signal) including some kind of severe system crash. I also have System crashes after a few minutes when i use my 32-bit 3Com 575 10/100 Ethernet PCMCIA, although it works some way, and smoothly under w9x.
Does anybody know why it crashes so badly? And how can i "remount" USB and PCMCIA after it fsck's without rebooting 2 times? is there a commandfor that?
Many thanks
Sven

If it works for a short time then usually means an irq conflict.

Check with:

dmesg | grep -i irq

If so, change assignment with BIOS
