Can someone explain why when you install dsl to hd, on the boot screen, it says automounter started for floppy,cdrom? When dsl loads, neither one is mounted. When I try to get something off the cdrom using emelfm it says permission denied. The hd install worked perfectly on a compaq presario with an amd k6 at 530 mhz. dsl runs great, just cant figure this cdrom thing out. I did a search and found some posts that I am going to try. I dont have internet access at my house, so everything I do I have to go to my inlaws and look it up and then go home and see if it works. I am just curious why this is?

have you tried using emelfm as superuser, from the menu?and click on the mount tool at the corner of your screen? this is what i do to get files of floppy or cdrom after install dsl(frugal)mine also says auto mounting at the boot screen,but i still have to use the mount tool then go to mnt in emelfm and click on cdrom or floppy to see whats on them. |
