Aint it a little in vain to have hd-install and frugal install in the fluxbox menu after hd install? I think frugal won't even work then, 'cause everything has already been unpacked...

The other minor bug, man not working after hd-install, can you fix that too?

The fluxbox menu is static unless you modify it yourself. Unless there is justifiable reason to add code simply to remove a few lines of harmless text, I don't see it as a bug.

You already know what the man fix is, and since it's already been posted there's no reason to nag. =o)

sorry...

It's just a visual improvement.. But if frugal won't work, isn't that a reason?

Could you explain what you mean by "frugal won't work"?

BTW, you definitely have to change your avatar. The current one is 2000-pixels wide and 1.5 Megabytes!! It took several minutes (not seconds) for this page to finish loading on dialup. I now have your avatar blocked from my browser, but please show some respect to others by resizing the thing or choosing a different image.

He's saying that a frugal install is not applicable when running off an already installed traditional hd-install.  In fact, I wonder if any of the install scripts would completely work after that kind of installation either...

And I agree about mikshaw's point about your avatar.  I think most other boards have a limit implemented by default on the size of it.

Frugal installations are possible, because the script presents the user with several source options, including the use of a local iso file.
You could be running a THI and then download the latest iso and frugal install it into another partition or drive/partition.

Some of us, who have to test a myriad of new code on many install types actually have both types installed on a single machine.

Doesn't load at all for me, just as well.

EDIT: I spoke too soon. It loads, it just takes five minutes!

So sorry for that too.. I thought that the forum does the resizing automagically. Now it's resized and only 6.5k....

So frugal works if I have a packed version somewhere? Ok..
