newbie warning(!)

OK so I have crammed as much as possible about DSL as I can into my brain over the past 2 days (from just reading no actual hands on experience).

I want to setup a CF DSL Frugal install via IDE (using a CF>IDE adapter). I understand that I need to setup two partitions on the CF(hda) which should be hda1 (the actual DSL OS) and hda2 (settings)

Now as I understand it frugal will write all my settings to the hda2 upon shutdown thus extending the life of my CF. (please correct me if I am mis informed)

I read through the < Frugal Install HowTo PDF > and had a question about the section on "boot options".

I saw "toram" in the screenshot and from what I've read this is a good idea on > 128MB ram. (loading all the system files into memory and running it from there).

Basically I want to know if there is a place that lists all the boot options and what purpose they serve? If I could set it up to ensure the write life of my CF would be extended I would be sold on DSL!

Thanks in advance for any help or links you can offer!

There is a list here:

I don't think this is a complete list. There are many Knoppix options that may also apply to DSL, although I know that some work only for Knoppix:
