I am trying to get DSL working for a music server machine i'm building.  The specs of the machine are:

200mHz Pentium
256mb of Ram
~340mb HDD*

*I will eventually be using a compact flash HDD but I messed up my only CF card recently, so for now, I'm going to test out DSL's 'fit for my needs' on an hdd.

Network Card
SCSI Card
PCI Video card with composite out

I downloaded the main version of the iso: dsl-3.2.iso and burned it to disk at 8x (as low as the drive will go)

I can boot the system up to the pretty graphical screen... but when I press F2 and either type 'failsafe', or just hit enter, the screen loads these 2 things:

linuxrt24
minirt24

and then the machine reboots..

The funny thing is.. if I DON'T hit F2, the thing seems to boot okay...  What could be causing the F2 option pressing to prevent it from booting?

Read the directions again and try typing dsl before failsafe. :D

dsl failsafe
