I'm very new to all'a this, but I finally got an ISO disc, a boot floppy and a partitioned hard drive (ready for linux). The problem is that when I run the install for DSL, near the beginning of the installation, it says:

Looking for image in: /dev/scd0

Does anyone know how I can move passed this and get DSL working??

Thanks in advance! :)

That means it's trying to find the data image on your cdrom device...

1. Which iso file did you download?
2. What cdrom device do you have?
3. Did you try booting with some cheatcodes?
4. Are just booting off the floppy with the new DSL cd placed in?

1. I downloaded this file: < http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub....3.2.iso >

2. Uh.. I dunno, really.. how do I find out?

3. The only cheatcodes I know of are video game cheatcodes.. so nope.. not that I know of, anyway.

4. Yeah, I'm usin' the floppy to boot the cd since it's an older computer and doesn't boot the cd automatically.

2. Check your BIOS, or your cd-rom device manual, or your system retailer, or it may say on the device itself
3. See wiki page on cheatcodes
