Hi to all,

and here is my problem:

I want to boot other OS with lilo using the dsl "frugal install" option. In which directory is the lilo.conf I have to edit located?

My dsl frugal install is located in /dev/hda6.

I'm don't using the dsl "hd install" option because I am working mostly with < dyne:bolic > and while nesting and docking dyne:bolic to hda6 where dsl is installed I get while booting dsl via lilo an error like "dsl kernel panic: no image found" (or sth like this).  :(

When I nest and dock dyne:bolic to hda1 I can boot dsl without problems from hda6.  ???

I'm using dsl 3.0. Should I get a newer version to fix my problems?

Thanks

right click beaver icon to select super user, or use editor of your choice as root

# "edit" /cdrom/boot/lilo.conf
# ln -sf /cdrom/boot /
# lilo -C /cdrom/boot/lilo.conf

If you boot toram then you must mount your install partition and substitue /cdrom with your mount point, e.g.,  /mnt/hda6 in above
