Hi everyone,

I have just re-frugal hd installed to DSL 3.4, now I'd like to edit out some of the DSL options that don't work on my laptop from the grub boot list.   I had done it to my 3.2 install, but now I'm getting read only file errors and my edits do not stick.

I think I need to edit the menu.lst file, and comment out the options I don't need.

/cdrom/boot/grub/menu.lst I edited but there is no effect on reboot
/boot/grub/menu.lst I can not edit

Am I looking at the wrong file to edit?

- make sure you save the file after editing
- which partition is active, or which one contains your active grub?  If it's not on the same partition as where you have DSL installed, you cannot edit the one in /cdrom but the one where your actual grub is installed, i.e. in "/mnt/hdXx/boot/grub/".  Paste out `mount` and `fdisk -l` here if you are not sure.
