MyDSL Extention tool not downloading..

I just installed DSL 3.3 doing a hard drive install and MyDSL Extention Tools comes up and lists the software I can download, but when I click the software I want, and it brings of the /tmp -> Download... I press download and nothing happens... usually it downloads.

I had this problem with 3.1 but Robert gave me a fix... This fix doesn't work for 3.3

Can someone point me in the direction I need to go... Is 3.3 having problems with MyDSL Extentions?

I need to get Samba, Gambas, badly... thanks for the help.

I just install 3.4.4

I am getting the same ... it won't download and don't get the progress bar showing the download... HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

I have searched the forum for someone who has a simular problem, but can't find anything..

This was the same problem I had with 3.1 and Roberts answered my questions

I used this command again sudo chgrp staff /opt/.mydsl_dir

It works now... The problem when I did it before I left off the . in front of mydsl_dir...

I am going to write this command down so I remember this in the future...

Not sure what you are experiencing. I just did a fresh hard drive install without this issue. Even changed download mirror and still could not reproduce.

It was a the same problem back with version 3.1 it looks like.

Although, I did a HD install on 2 of my garage computers last week with 3.3 and 3.4 and it didn\'t have this problem at all.

Who knows... It works now though with sudo chgrp staff /opt/.mydsl_dir

Thanks for checking it and trying to see if you could reproduce the problem.
