How to compile partimage from sources:

Once you have downloaded partimage-x.y.z.tar.bz2, you must uncompress and compile:
Here is how to uncompress the sources:

tar xfjp partimage-x.y.z.tar.bz2
Now, you must compile:

./configure --prefix=/usr && make && make install

You may have problems. For example, if a library is missing, the configure script will stop and tell you the problem.

How can I get partimage?

Look into Mydsl repository.

You have there a lot of programs that you don't need to compile, one example is partimage, there is a partimage.uci in Testing.

With google you can find partimage for linux in binary, just to copy to DSL and execute with root permision.
