mydsl-load not working on HDD install?Forum: HD Install Topic: mydsl-load not working on HDD install? started by: icepick Posted by icepick on Mar. 16 2008,06:58
I have a HDD install here and when I run mydsl-load with an extension, nothing happens.. no error.. just nothing. If I do mountci <extension> I can copy the files manually.. but I wonder why mydsl-load doesnt work on the HDD install. If I run DSL from a CD on the same pc, I can do mydsl-load without a hitch. Posted by curaga on Mar. 16 2008,10:07
.unc extensions do not work on a HD install - did you try to use that?

Makes you wonder why anyone would want to do a HD install in the first place. Posted by mikshaw on Mar. 16 2008,23:07

..as long as a .dsl version exists. I haven't tried running unc2dsl yet. Posted by mikshaw on Mar. 24 2008,12:27
I didn't know there was an unc2dslWhat I would do is mount the unc as uci rather than unc. You should end up with a directory in /opt that can now have its contents copied to the main filesystem. |
