Download the embedded zip file, to be able to extract the files from dos/windows.Then take a look at the wiki: < http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/index.php/Loadlin_Install > Posted by oker7 on May 27 2008,16:15
Ok- I did read the Wiki -but from my reading I still need some type of OS on the drive first to boot then boot DSL. What I need to do is for DSM to boot\install from the harddrive as I have no way to get any other OS to boot first. Chris Posted by ^thehatsrule^ on May 27 2008,17:11
If you have no software on it, you're pretty much out of luck. You can: - temporarily connect a cd/floppy/etc drive - take out the hdd and use another machine to install - there may be other options such as usb/net booting, depending on your hardware Posted by oker7 on May 27 2008,19:11
Ok,Thanks for the reply, much as I suspected!
Will bung 2k on for now as I know this will load if I install on another machine. Cheers Chris Posted by curaga on May 27 2008,19:29
Why not put just (free)dos to save time?
