I did a frugal install to an IBM Thinkpad HD which appeared to work just fine, but there seems to be a login which I don't have a user name or password to.Thnx Posted by u2musicmike on Oct. 28 2008,14:30
Do you get that password prompt if you boot from the CD? A frugal install is just like a boot from a CD and doesn't ask for a password unless you use the SECURE boot option which sets a new password. Harddrive install also ask you to set a new password. Your BIOS may have a password set but I couldn't tell you how to check that on a IBM thinkpad.
