Posted by pcdoctor on Nov. 04 2008,09:594.4.7 won't recognize my Kingston flash drive when I click on the floppy/cdrom selector. (forgot what it's called).
I'll put 4.4.6 back on in the meantime.
I wasn't sure what was different.

What happens if you restart mount.app i.e.,
pkill mount.app && mount.app
Posted by pcdoctor on Nov. 06 2008,10:53I ended up putting 4.4.6 back on. I'm now trying to concentrate on testing flash and firefox. Here is another question.
Is there anyway to get rid of the processor usage and other stats info on the top upper right side of the screen? Would getting rid of this speed up the pc more? Thx for responding.
Posted by curaga on Nov. 06 2008,14:05Delete the line(s) that mention "torsmo" in /home/dsl/.xinitrc to get rid of it.
It would mostly affect ram usage, since it only uses cpu when it updates the stats (every 5 secs by default IIRC)
