i use a KVM-Switch for 2 PC's, so i can use the same monitor, keyboard and mouse with both.
when i switch from PC A (win) to PC B (DSL) the mouse stuck.
i have too press crtl+alt+back  and type startx, then everything is alright again.
is there a way to prevent mouse failure???

i hope you can help me. it's really annoying to do this everytime...

well, the problem is, WindoZzz supports hotplugging the mouse, but DSL doesn't.

KVM switches actually just disconnect the mouse from the computer you aren't using at that moment.

My suggestion, don't be such a cheapskate. A they have decent mice out there for under $5 (Logitech). Or you could even go with an optical mouse for only a little bit more.

Go buy another mouse.

It was my understanding that truly good KVM's "emulate"
connections when switching away from them..

So, even when you don't have one of yor boxes "active" ,
the KVM provides a " pseudo " live connection for your devices,
keeping monitors synced, and other inputs from "appearing" to
have been disconnected from the OS.

A "KVM" being different from a "switch box"

Am I wrong ?
