HD Boot Floppy NewbieForum: HD Install Topic: HD Boot Floppy Newbie started by: bbrown_969 Posted by bbrown_969 on Sep. 21 2004,06:21
I need to know how to create a bootable floppy disk to install DSL from my partitioned HDD. I have a cd with the ISO on it, but being such a newbie... it only has the ISO on it... it's not extracted yet. So I extracted the files using a program to a separate partition, and I need to create a HD boot floppy, but don't know how! PLEASE HELP A NEWBIE OUT!

Follow the recommended procedure for creating a DSL boot floppy.download the image file at: < http://ibiblio.org/pub....8.0.img > and get a image writing program like this one: < http://www.duskware.com/download/rawrite.zip > Choose "ALL Files" and select the DSL boot image. Then it will immediately be written to the floppy disk that is sitting in your drive. Good Luck. |
