I am VERY new to Linux, so please bear with me I understand how the hard drive is partitioned. But what I am not understanding is how many partitions I need for DSL to run properly, what types, etc... and do those partitions need to be formated after they are created. Thanks, John712 Posted by AwPhuch on Nov. 10 2004,22:25
If you have enough ram 32Megs+ you only need one partition...using cfdisk just make a type 82 (LINUX) partition and install to that... If you need swap space then make a small 32-64Meg type 83 partition Brian AwPhuch Posted by I went to bed very late on Nov. 11 2004,17:31
