hi
I have olliviti laptop with cd, but it's motherboard is not
cd bootable
any one can help on how to install DSL on the hard disk

maybe i need to use firt one floppy then use the cdrom
but i don't knew how

Please help  :O

Search the forums for "Boot Floppy"... it shouldn't be all that hard to find. Most people who actually install DSL need a boot floppy.

The 0.8.0 bootfloppy will work with DSL 0.9.1..but I think in the download dir you can find the latest one there

i think that the problem is not the boot foppy

but the steps that i have to do after

cause on FAQ section, it is explained that we have to create
2 partitions then to boot from the sdl cd
and this the step that i can't do cause my laptop is not cd bootable

so what are the steps thati have to do ???

sbm.bin. this floppy image is the best, forget boot floppies, this is much faster, and you only need one if you want to boot from any CD. It can be found on most debian install CD's or maybe google for it. Use dd or rawrite to stick on a floppy
