I'm new to linux, this is the FIRST time I have ever used any version of linux. I want to install DSL to my hard drive but I can't find cfdisk

Can someone please tell me where that is?

Please help fast, I need access to my cdrom drive very soon!

Thanks,
Brett

-EDIT-
Ok i found fdisk, i also found cfdisk. I tried running cfdisk and it said "FATAL ERROR", I don't know if that is related to me not being able to format C: through MS DOS

"C:>format C:
Cannot Format A Network Drive" -(in MS DOS)

I also tried to make a partition using fdisk but i cant figure out the commands

is it something like "fdisk -s 300" I don't know im new to Linux
