All right i have an old computer that was recently brought back from the dead and i put windows 98 on it. Now I want to try to get DSL on it.

My problem is i try to boot it from a CD-Rom but it wont. I was told to edit my bios but i dont know how to on this old 98.

Anyone know?

Download the DSL boot floppy image and the rawrite32 program and create a DSL boot floppy.

This will work on computers that won't boot from CD drive.

to edit the bios look on the screen before win starts, usually there here written something like:
press del to enter setup.
Or maybe another key.
U press that key and u are in the bios, there u look 4 boot sequence and u put the cd as first boot device.

Or, since it is an old computer, and is most likely like mine, and wont boot straight from a DSL CD, make the removable media(Floppy) the first, then CD, then HD, then network.  Unless, of course, you boot up through a network.

A lot of BIOS' require you to press a function key.
My computer is F1, my parents is F12.
It depends on what kind of BIOS you have.
If it is configurable, it will tell you the key to press to ener setup mode.
