Can I do a HD install on dev/hdc5 ?

I have created a partition on /dev/hdc5... did a mke2fs on it.  DSL-hdinstaller
says it can't find space so does a toram install... bug or not possible ?

question? after you changed the partition ,did you reboot before doing the mkfs /dev/hda5. One needs to reboot after changing partition info. This is one possibility. good luck . Make sure you add the bootable flag in cfdisk to the hda5 partition. reboot then mkfs. Marty

of course i mean hdc5 for the last post. mkfs works for formatting partition. mkfs default is ext2 linux filesystem. mkfs.   mkfs /dev/hdc5. just a thought.   Marty
