I have created a partition on /dev/hdc5... did a mke2fs on it. DSL-hdinstallersays it can't find space so does a toram install... bug or not possible ? Ted in Atlanta Posted by mustang335 on April 03 2005,16:20
question? after you changed the partition ,did you reboot before doing the mkfs /dev/hda5. One needs to reboot after changing partition info. This is one possibility. good luck . Make sure you add the bootable flag in cfdisk to the hda5 partition. reboot then mkfs. Marty

of course i mean hdc5 for the last post. mkfs works for formatting partition. mkfs default is ext2 linux filesystem. mkfs. mkfs /dev/hdc5. just a thought. Marty
