hi,

i have a computer that already has Gentoo on it, but this computer is simply impervious to LiveCDs (and any bootable CD i've tried). what i'd like to do is have a small backup install of linux on the hard drive through which i can restore the Gentoo install should it get b0rked again (long story). Damn Small Linux looks like it will do the trick. main concern was limited hard drive space.

anyhoo, i'm arleady well familiar with Grub that i don't want to fuss with Lilo.

is it possible to use Grub to boot into DSL? if so, what options do i have to set?

search the forums for keyword "grub" and search ALL FORUMS and FROM THE BEGINNING or NEWER

Or better yet, look in the Docs!

Both are good ways to learn.

Read the documentation at the link on the main web site or learn how to search the forums.

Some answers are in the docs, others are in the forums and many are in both of them.
