Hello,

I have an enhanced HD install running on my laptop.  Can somebody please tell me what files I should edit so that my wireless settings (ESSID, encryption key, etc.) are loaded and the interface is automatically configured after a reboot?

Thanks

The setting should be normally save and there is nothing special to do.  Only the normal process. if your wlan networkcard is working ( type "iwconfig" into the console - you should do this as root to see if there is a wlan card running). if this is the case type "netcardconfig" and select the networkcard. then you enter the the settings (the menu for wlan setting comes right behind the normal setting about ip adress dns aso). And this should be all.

Oh one thing, you shuld disable the dhcp in your lilo.conf. edit the lilo.conf file (find in /etc) and attach "nodhcp" in the append line. but do this if you don't want a ip adress by dhcp and you have your fix ip.

if all this is not saved permantly you can enter all the network setting to the bootlocal.sh (/opt)
