Hello! Im try install Mandrake and Ubunto but this dosen't work due to KDE was to demanding for my grafic card.

Now i think try DSL but im are uncertain if this working on my computer.
Pentium II 223mhz
160mb RAM
4gb harddrive
S3 Trio64 (2mb)

Work this?  :)

I have Windows on the other harddrive on 3gb so i will have DSL på my other harddrive on 4gb.
And are the installation easy?  ???

It should work like a charm!

I have a DSL HD install on my 166 Mhz PII, which now has 128 MB RAM but only had 48 when I first installed. It's fairly modern compared to some of the hardware around here. ;)

The install script is the easiest I have used, and I run Mandrake, slow as molasses, on a 466 Mhz PII.

Fluxbox only seems minimalist at first if you're used to KDE or windows. All I notice now is how FAST it is. If you want eye candy, check out the XScreensaver extension and some of the themes.

Yes, the S3 Trio 64 card 2 MB should work fine for DSL. This is an old reliable card, and the only problems I have had with it is with SuSE and RHL 6.1, on some AMD processors, the cursor locks up. DSL has no problems with that card.
Debian 2.2 can do 16 bit color at 800x600, but need to set vsync at 60 on some monitors to eliminate "sparkle" artifact along edges. Knoppix cheatcode is vsync=60.
Perhaps DSL can do that too.
Windows 98 can easily do 16 bit color with that card, but you would not want to
let that version of Windows onto the internet nowadays...
:D
