my system is a Pentium 233 (with bootcd bios),2.1G for HD,I used the Win Partition Magic Pro 7 to do this.
hda1-swap 108 Mb
hda2-fat32 -1.1G with windows 98 SE
hda3-ext2 - 800 Mb
I try many times install , on the boot splash screen I type F2, and type dsl tohd=/dev/hda3 , but I receive the message , hda3 is not montable , and the system start normally (from cd image). So I enter in Xterminal and use the command cfdisk /dev/hda3 , I´had the message -the partition table is not recognize type Y tho fix (It´s something like that..),I type yes , and try to format again this partition but my system freeze , forcing me to kick my old PC.
Someone knows what´s the trouble ?!? I need help ,please..

You need to format the partition before you can mount it.

Partition Magic will create the partition, but it is still unformatted blank space until you format it.

For example, boot into livecd, open an xterminal and type:

sudo su
mkfs.ext2 /dev/hda3
exit
exit

and reboot and see if it works.
