Hi well I'm new around here...I'm not new to linux though. Well i heard of this a while back and I though I might give it a try. Well I was looking in the "How to install" on the site and found out that you can install it to a thumbdrive/thumbstick. Well if that is possible is it possible to install it on a ipod? I mean it runs Fat32, its USB, Acts like a thumb/stick drive so why wouldn't it work? If anyone has tried this or heard of anyone and knows if this does or does not work let me know. I will be messing around with DSL the next few days and weather or not I get a reply I will try installing it on my ipod and see what happens. I have my Ipod on me all the time so I don't see why I wouldn't want to. Also when you install it is it like windows and it will only work for that computer? Or can you move it from computer to computer and it will work on all of them? (providing it works witht he hardware). Well if I don't get a reply you'll hear from me over the weekend...

ive heard of it done myself from a cupple people. ive even seen it done by a kid whom hates his school operationg OS. so he used it to bypass everything and use his own operating system. I thought it was kinda funny when i heared it. I personally havent tried it myself but i hear from alot of people it works.

So his school was either set to boot off USB or didnt password the bios?, idiots!

Of corse you can reset the bios...
I tried this at my school with a USB pen drive, but i wasn't "hardcore" enough to erase the bios settings (as they would probably kill me).

I think it is definately possible, if you set it up as a drive, and the pc can boot from usb. I know that there is a linux distro that actually runs on the iPod, and looks pretty cool.  btw most schools allow boot from cd, and have no bios passwords.

PS I am not associated with "Tweak" in case u were wondering. :D
