Hi there ! First of all congratulations on thiis great lightweight distribution !!!

Now to my problem.First of all I am a newbie with linux. I installed dsl in my HDD with 2 partitions hda1 and hda5 for swap. After a coldboot I cannot boot the dsl from hard drive. The problem is the fcstab . I get the following error. Your etc/fstab does not contain the fsck passno field. I will kludge  etc etc (the notorious fstab issue!! ) . The superblock could not read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem.

I tried the e2fsck -b 8193 with my hda1 but didn't work. What I tried to do is boot from cd , mount the hda1 and as a superuser (sudo su) copy the fstab from the cd to the harddrive . The problem then was that the hda1 was read only (even though I was a superuser) so right now I have no idea what to do. I also tried to check the fstab with vi editor but somehow it seems the file is empty.
Any ideas what to do ?????

oh well ...I concluded that it would be easier to just reinstall it in hard drive since I just downlaoded few packages . But because it may happen in near future I would really like to know how to solve this issue with fstab. It's weird because it seems that is creating or rebuilding it in every boot . How come it didn't rebuild it before? Sorry if my questions are bit stupid but I am really a newbie with linux!
