Hello all, wanted to experiment (again) with Linux and found DSL. I have used Redhat and Caldera a couple of years ago.  Downloaded and burned a CD which did not work. Made some changes to my burner settings, burned again.

DSL worked flawlessly. Very easy to do the HD install by following the one page instructions. I have several older "Frankenstein" systems and choose a 350mhz PII with 256mb RAM and 2 NICs.

Will work on attaching it to the internet via nic soon.

One question, any way to get the num lock to default to ON?

Thanks, Bob

that's where it is for me.

I did check that though the numlock light comes on when the system boots but then goes off after DSL loads. Not a big deal but I'm used to the number pad.

Having problems getting the sound working but I'm looking through the forums for ideas to try.
