i have an old Toshiba 480CDT laptop. It did have Win98 on it but i loaded DSL and repartitioned so i now have a linux partition, a linux swap partition, and a fat32 partition (to install windows later on).

i loaded DSL and installed it to the linux partition and everything was fine until i tried to load...

it gets to a point where it asks me for the run level, i tried all of them such as single, multi user but i get the same error message:

INIT: can't open)/etc/ioctl.save. 0_WRONLY): I/0 error
INIT: Entering runlevel: 3
INIT: no more processed left in this runlevel

please can anyone help im desperate!

thanks  :(
