I have now set the first AND second partition to PRIMARY.
The error bu hd/install after is the same.

When i type mkswap /dev/hda1[&i] is ok.
when i type [i]swapon /dev/hda1
the error is:
device or ressource busy

What can I do ??

Ok, i have found the error...
i have delete my running system
(while have delete/create partitions)

So i have start a new install where i have better deliberate
and a better HD config.

Now runs on my old Hardware from HD.
Im being pleased with the OS (for the first Days;)

QUESTION:

How can i attach a unused partition to my existing
Linux Partition?

Code Sample

hda1 LinuxSwap
unused
hda2 Linux

i have used this (now unused) partition for image to install (liveCD).

Please Help to rescue my little space.
