I have the "hd installation" working properly.
The <perl-base> works but I need  <perl-modules> too.
The apt-get do not install the package. it gives an error.
Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Leandro.

I don't know if it will work, but you could try synaptic.

Apps --> Tools --> Synaptic (I think)

No ... even synaptic does not install.
It says that <perl-modules> have a dependency on <perl-base> 5.6.1-89 and DSL has the 5.8.0-18 version :(
Do you know how can I get the help? I think DSL does not have a support, does it?
maybe on another forum?
Thank you.

Edit your /etc/apt/sources.list file and change "oldstable" to stable. Then do an apt-get update and you'll have access to much more recent software versions (including Perl 2.8.x packages). Beware though that installing packages from the newer repository could result in forced upgrades of packages you don't want to change. I always do an apt-get -s install my_desired_package first just to see what kind of changes apt is going to want to make.

Works like a charm.

Thank you VERY much.

I think this might be something like a problem I am having with DSL. My PERL scripts which read stuff out of a text file execute in the browser but will not read the text file. It will read the text file in the command line. I tried to edit the /etc/apt/sources.list file like kopsis said but there was no /etc/apt folder. Can someone please help me?

I have fixed the problem. I downloaded apache and it runs the perl scripts fine.
