Hi all! I'm a new dsl user and I have some problems.
I installed the dsl on my old laptop, and everytime I start it I need to write the modprobe lines in order to make my sound card work. Is there a way to make that modprobe permanent?
Another question: how can I resize the window of the application I run? I am only able to move them but not to resize!
Last one: I cannot connect to the Internet with that pc but I still want to have the Debian Package Manager, but, even if I have already installed the dsl-dpkg, I cannot start Synaptic because it tries to connect to the Net and download others deb packages. So can I download them with this other pc, and then install them on that laptop?
Thank you all very much, you are really doing a great job!

You can add the modprobe lines to /opt/bootlocal.sh
If you are using a frugal install, you'll need to back up this file.

Resizing windows in Fluxbox can be done by dragging anywhere in the window with the right mouse button while holding Mod1 (usually Alt).  Occasionally you might use an application that has a fixed size, but this is uncommon.

If you have dpkg/apt installed, you can install local deb packages with "sudo dpkg -i packagename".
