greetings, its me again.

i finally got DSL installed on the HD and im able to dual boot between it and mandrake 10. the problem now being that when i boot into DSL, it cant seem to recognize my mouse.

i had no trouble with it running from the CD, just after the HD install. mouse is a microsoft explorer plugged into USB.

Are any of your other USB devices working at boot-time?

i dont currently have any other USB devices connected. i seem to be getting the idea that it might be a problem with the latest version, from reading thru these archives. since i cant seem to get it up and running, i think ill try an older version of DSL and see where it goes.

DSL may not be loading the USB module at boot.  No USB module, no USB mouse.  That's along the lines I was thinking, at any rate.  You may want to check and see if the USB is running before trying to reconfigure your mouse.

IF that's the problem, it's as simple as adding a new initscript to load USB at boot.  Just a thought.
