auto loading kernal modsForum: HD Install Topic: auto loading kernal mods started by: neilb Posted by neilb on Oct. 03 2005,17:41
I have DSL 1.5 installed on my hard drive as a hard drive install.Everything works fine. I need to do a manual modprobe sk98lin in order to get my DSL modem working, I also have to set the 'puter up as a DHCP client and use the Netcardconfig everytime I boot. Is there any way to to automate this? I have the kernal source and am prepared to recompile if I have to (I would prefer not to of course ) I also know my way around most of the files in /etc but am not sure which to change or what to change to. All help appreciated. Neil Posted by SaidinUnleashed on Oct. 03 2005,17:50
Put the appropriate commands in /opt/bootlocal.shYou may have to google to find out how to set up your DSL modem with ifconfig. -J.P. |
