Hello! Sorry for my bad english :p

Well, I put my favorite distro on my USB key (DSL 0.6.3 of course :) ), and I wanted to save my /home directory on the USB disk too. When I tried to mount the key (/dev/sda1) there was an error message like "couldn't mount /dev/sda1, etc.."

How to have DSL AND the /home directory in the same USB key??

Thanks a lot!

I believe you are supposed to download and "dd" to a floppy, a special USB boot.img that can pick up the USB key, where your /knoppix folder is.

I have not done it myself, as I am into the live cd thing, so I do not have all the
details on that. Apparently, there are very few computers that can be changed to
boot off a USB key first, then go on to the hard drive, etc.
So, a need for a boot floppy has come about.
