hi
i want to have a windows and D.S.L
i create a 3 partition:

1) Fat 16
2) Ext2
3) Linux Swap

then I installed Dos in fat 16
next , I Boot D.S.L from CD
I was waiting for completly DSL boot and I run bash
and type dsl-hddinstall
in options I wrote where the system should be installed:
/dev/hda2
and it seems ok DSL was installed
next I type: mkliloboot
and in this step I have trouble
mkliloboot ask me where is root
I don't know what to type
I type:
  /dev/hda2/
 /dev/
/dev/root
and lilo wrote: error root (or root point) does not exists

Please Help where I wos wrong ??

You probably declared them to be Linux & Linux swap from fdisk or cfdisk but did you format them using mke2fs & mkswap (?)? you would also need swapon to be able to use the swap partition.

why don't you do a frugal grub install instead of lilo?
