Ok so i disabled the dhcp thing-did the netcardconfig - cause i want it to be static ip- then after i reboot - its not connected to the internet - but after i do the netcarconfig again it werks - --- can anyone tell me how they have DSL running monkey behind a router------------------Router man pages say , that i have to assign the web server machine a static ip whichi would be 192.168.1.3 and i already opened port 80 on the router and done port forwarding- Thx Posted by CappyCaffeine on Jan. 18 2004,00:28

What i did , only was disable DHCp ---ran netcardconfig --- added all #'s there[correctly]-----Other than that i did not do anything-- How would i setup the gateway and the DNS part? Thx cappy Posted by colinbes on June 16 2004,15:56
Maybe tryifconfig eth0 192.168.1.3 netmask 255.255.255.0 to set the static ip |
