Hi  I have a toshiba 110cs laptop with two partitions:

/dev/hda1 -  fat16 (win95)
/dev/hda2 -  fat32

I've put the dsl iso on both of them as KNOPPIX.iso and I just can't get it to work.

I've tried
dsl bootfrom=/dev/hda1/KNOPPIX.iso
dsl bootfrom=/dev/hda2/KNOPPIX.iso
dsl bootfrom=/dev/hdax/KNOPPIX.iso

even when it scans the drives it doesn't seem to notice anything.

the partitions work fine because I've been formatting/mounting them with tomsrtbt.

I always get a "Can't find KNOPPIX filesystem error".

OMFG ... I copied the knoppix directory from the iso to hda1 AND ITS WORKING....

should I convert hda2 to linux swap? because I've only got 24mb memory and its taking a looooonnng time...

Here is a link that discusses what you are doing (known as a frugal install) and has a link to some docs.
