hey

I want to run Damn Small Linux in a machine without CD-ROM. As I've found, I need to get the /KNOPPIX folder of CD and make a bootdisk. I am already downloading the ISO, which I can open with programs like WinRAR.

Questions:

- Will my HD be acessible from Damn Small Linux? My HD is format as FAT32

- I have 32 MB RAM. Do I need any swap file? Creating a small partition is no a problem.

Thanks

(1) Yes.  FAT32 is fully supported by DSL.

(2) You should create a small (64MB) swap file or swap partition. A swap partition is a little faster, but a swap file can be created inside an existing partition so no repartitioning is necessary.  If you have the free disk space, I would create a larger one at 128MB.  Press the "Search" button at the top of this page. Then enter "swap" for a keyword. Then choose "Search ALL FORUMS", "Search FROM THE BEGINNING" and "or NEWER"  for more details.

Good Luck.
