Okey, here's the problem. Yesterday my computer started re-staring when I loaded Windows XP, the loading screen would appear, the bar would go acrossa few times then my computer would just restart. It also did this in safe mode.

So I made a disk of 'Damn Small Linux' I can boot off that fine and acess the internet, but I can't acess any of the files on my hard drive, I want to back up some of the files and burn them to CD. I tried repairing windows XP but that didn't work. So I'm going to format my HD after have backed up some files. Is there any way I can acess my files off this linux and burn them to CD, or some other way I can keep my files?

You should be able to find your hard drive partitions by starting up the emelfm file manager and navigate to the /mnt directory

Then Right-Click on your hard drive data partition mount point (should be something like "hda1" or "hda2") to mount the drive and see the files.

You can either use the cd burning app or you can use a USB thumbdrive to get them off of your computer.  A USB thumbdrive should usually appear as "sda1"
